It doesn’t get much better than this folks. Fly fishing in Montana is epic and the mornings are the best by far. Be the first ones on the river and enjoy. Zebra midge is king with the weight fly, pmd split case, lightning bug, Czech nymph, brassie, etc will get you into fish. 406-253-8408

Can’t beat the morning fishing with Johnsrud Outfitters. Get out early and enjoy the great fishing. I thought the afternoon bite was quite good as well considering extreme heat and selective fish on the Missouri. You gotta make the first cast count. If your working on your technique to catch a selective fish it’s probably not going to work. You should have your skills 
tuned up before targeting the Missouri River-just a suggestion. 6 eats on the ant in the afternoon and 2 great eats on the hopper. I love the hopper eat and its only going to get better. Downstream presentations with long drifts will get you success. Tricos in the morning, Caddis and PMDs mid morning to afternoon, Terrestrials in the afternoon. Today was a great day with 
Johnsrud Outfitters. Just some big fish and they just keep coming. Not much has changed. Get out early and enjoy Montana. Afternoons are a little slow but if your looking for a challenge with some technical fish let me know. PMD Split Case are still getting them from the Dam to Wolf Creek Bridge. Follow that with a zebra midge and
